Granite ore is hard to be crushed, but not that hard like basalt ore. Because that although granite is of high hardness, it is relatively fragile. Therefore granite crushing process can be more flexible than basalt crushing. You can choose two crushing process for your granite processing plant, while three crushing phrase process is a better choice for long-term operation.

Jaw crusher +jaw crusher – low cost of investment

If your target market does not requires too much about granite particle shape, we recommend you the two crushing phrases process with two jaw crushers, which requires less investment cost, and simple maintenance. And its cost of production is the lowest among all granite crushing solutions. However, the shape of final granite product is not as good as that of three crushing process, and the needle flake content is relatively higher.

Jaw crusher +impact crusher – final granite product of good shape

To improve granite grain of cubic shape content, we recommend you granite crushing plant with jaw crusher and impact crusher. The investment cost is relatively higher, but the final product is of better shape. As granite is kind of hard rock, the wear parts of impact crusher is usually easy to be worn. For long-term operation, the cost of production is relatively higher. However, since granite is fragile, the jaw crusher + impact crusher process is a good choice for short-term operation.

In the case of requirements about good shaped granite grain and low cost of production, you will need our laminating crusher between jaw crusher and impact crusher, such as fine jaw crusher or cone crusher. For this granite crushing solution, main granite crushing machines are primary crusher and secondary crusher who assure the granite crushing, and impact crusher is mainly used for granite product shaping. The three crushing phase process greatly reduces the coarse products which should be returned to crushing machines after screening. If the returning charge content is too high, it will cause more repeating crushing process and therefore increase the cost of wear parts.

The two crushing phase process and the three crushing phase process with impact crusher require relatively higher investment cost. However their advantage is incontrovertible--they greatly reduce the cost of production.
